Franklin Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    4 c. plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1 lb. pecans
    1 Tbsp. butternut flavoring
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
    Add 3 cups of flour mixture.
    Pour last cup of flour over fruits and pecans.
    Add this to other ingredients.
    Add flavoring, mix well.
    Grease and flour a tube pan.
    Pour cake in pan.
    Bake in 300\u00b0 oven for 3 hours.
