Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (No. 303) can fruit cocktail
    1 beaten egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add all but brown sugar and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Pour in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle on top the brown sugar and nuts.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Serve with whipped cream.
