Italian Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 c. confectioners sugar (1 1/2 c. for not as sweet, if preferred)
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 lb. shortening (butter or margarine)
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
    Work in butter until it disappears.
    Add eggs and vanilla and knead until soft and pliable.
    Pinch off piece of dough and roll into length of about 4 to 5-inches, twist and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
