Savory Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 bay leaf
    1 Tbsp. minced basil
    2 tsp. oregano
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    hot cooked spaghetti
Preparation
    In a Dutch oven cook ground beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender.
    Drain.
    Add the next 8 ingredients. Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
    Remove the bay leaf.
    Serve over spaghetti.
    Yield:
    4 to 6 servings (about 1 quart).
