Cheese And Onion Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large chopped onion
    1/2 c. butter
    1 Tbsp. yeast
    3/4 c. warm water
    1 Tbsp. honey
    1 tsp. salt
    3 beaten eggs
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
    1 egg yolk beaten with 2 tsp. water (for glaze)
Preparation
    Saute onion in butter until soft.
    Do not overcook.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool.
    Dissolve yeast in a large bowl.
    Add honey, beaten eggs and salt.
    Mix well.
    Add two cups of flour; beat well until sponge is smooth.
    Add onion and butter; mix.
    Add cheese. Mix in well.
    Stir in 1 1/2 cups flour and 1 cup whole wheat flour.
    Knead on floured board for five minutes or more.
    Return to greased bowl.
    Turn kneaded ball over in bowl to grease all surfaces.
    Cover.
    Let rise in warm place until double in size. Form into 2 loaves.
    Brush with glaze.
