Fruit Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small carton candied pineapple
    1 small carton each candied red and green cherries
    12 oz. pkg. chopped dates
    1 c. walnut pieces
    1 c. pecan pieces
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Mix flour with soda and cinnamon; add to creamed mixture and mix together. Cut up the candied fruits; add nut pieces and mix with the cookie dough. Spoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Makes about 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
