Lynn'S Lionel Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. oatmeal
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda

Preparation

Mix first 3 ingredients together and cool.
Mix next 4 ingredients with beaters.
Combine last 4 ingredients and add to mixture by hand.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0 in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
