Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. celery, diced
    4 eggs, hard-boiled and sliced
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, uncooked
    1/2 c. green pepper, diced
    1 medium sweet onion, diced or green onion
    8 slices bacon, crumbled
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Tear lettuce into small pieces.
    Place in a 9 x 12-inch glass dish.
    Layer next 6 ingredients in order given.
    Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread over top as you would frosting.
    Top with grated cheese.
    Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 to 12 hours. Garnish with bacon bits and parsley.
