Easy Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk or cream (use cream)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Mix the sugar, milk, butter and soda in saucepan.
    Cook to soft ball stage. The soda turns the sugar to caramel taste and color as it cooks.
    Remove from stove.
    Cool a few minutes. Add vanilla, then beat.
    Before mixture begins to stiffen, add nuts and spoon onto wax paper.
