Blond Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 pkg. chocolate bits
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and brown sugar.
    Add beaten egg and then dry ingredients.
    Add nuts and chocolate bits last.
    Bake in a square pan, 8 x 8-inch.
    Bake 25 minutes at 350\u00b0.
