Black Bean And Rice Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) cans black beans
    3 c. water
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 c. instant Minute rice
Preparation
    Place beans with liquid in blender; blend until smooth.
    Pour into large saucepan.
    Stir in water, oregano and garlic powder and bring to boil.
    Stir in rice.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Serve with chopped onions if desired.
