Ingredients

1 lb. sweet butter (room temperature)
1/2 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. crushed almonds
1 jigger whiskey
5 c. sifted flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
confectioners sugar
Preparation

Cream butter well, then add sugar gradually.
Add egg yolks and vanilla, continuing to mix.
Fold in almonds and whiskey.
Add flour and baking powder and mix by hand until dough is formed. Then make small shaped cookies (round balls, flat half moons). Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes (almost light gold) on ungreased cookie sheet.
Cool cookies before sifting confectioners sugar on top and bottom.
