Hot Cross Buns(A Family Tradition On Good Friday) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. butter
    1 egg
    1 c. flour
    1 c. raisins
    2 to 2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine sugar, salt, yeast and flour in large bowl.
    In 1-quart saucepan, over low heat, heat milk and butter until very warm (120\u00b0 to 130\u00b0).
    With mixer at low speed, beat liquid into dry ingredients until blended.
    Increase speed to medium; beat 2 minutes.
    Beat in egg and 1 cup flour to make a thick batter; continue beating 2 minutes, scraping bowl often.
    Stir in raisins and flour to make a soft dough.
