Cherry Crumb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter and/or margarine
    1 egg, beaten
    1 (1 lb. 6 oz.) can cherry pie filling or other prepared fruits
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
    Mix with sugar.
    Cut in butter; add beaten egg and mix to make crumbs.
    Place 1/2 of crumbs in bottom of greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Distribute cherries evenly and top with remaining crumbs.
    Bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) for 30 minutes.
    Serve with ice cream or other topping. Sprinkle crumbs lightly with cinnamon.
