Oriental Brussels Sprouts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 slices bacon
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 (7 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
1 clove garlic, minced
1 c. chicken broth
1 lb. fresh or frozen Brussels sprouts
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp.
Remove from pan and drain on paper towel.
Stir soy sauce into the bacon drippings.
Add chestnuts, garlic and broth.
Bring to a boil and add Brussels sprouts. Return to a boil; cover and reduce heat, cooking about 8 minutes or until sprouts are just tender.
Combine cornstarch and water and add to the pan liquid.
Cook, stirring, until thickened. Sprinkle reserved bacon over the top to serve.
Serves 6 to 8.
