Popovers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour; measure.
    Add salt and sift again.
    Beat eggs with rotary or electric beater until light and thick.
    Add flour and 1/3 cup of the milk; continue to beat slowly until all the flour is moistened, about 30 seconds.
    Gradually add remaining milk and melted shortening.
    Beat until free from lumps, 1 to 2 minutes. Fill greased muffin pan.
    Divide in 6 to 8 large popovers.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
