Punch Bowl Party Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow cake mix
    2 large boxes strawberry Jell-O
    2 large containers Cool Whip
    2 large pkg. frozen strawberries
    2 large pkg. vanilla pudding (not instant)
    fresh strawberries for garnish
Preparation
    Bake cake in two round 8-inch cake pans according to package directions.
    Cool.
    Cut layers horizontally by pulling a string through.
    You will have 4 layers.
    Make pudding according to package directions.
    Cool.
    Mix 2 1/2 cups boiling water with 2 boxes of strawberry Jell-O, mixing until Jell-O dissolves.
    Chill until slightly thickened (like egg white).
    Assemble in a punch bowl as follows:
    First, layer of cake, 1/4 of the Jell-O, layer of Cool Whip and layer of pudding.
    Second layer of cake, Jell-O, Cool Whip and pudding.
    Third layer of cake, Jell-O, Cool Whip and pudding.
    Fourth layer of cake only, topped with thick layer of Cool Whip.
    Garnish with fresh sliced berries.
