Out-Of-This-World Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. warm water
    4 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
    In large bowl, combine shortening, sugar, beaten eggs, 1 cup warm
    water and salt.
    Stir in softened yeast and 2 1/2 cups flour.
    Beat until smooth and blended.
    Add remaining flour to make a soft dough and mix well. Cover and allow to rise
    in a warm place until double in bulk. This takes about 1 hour.
    Punch down and place in refrigerator overnight.
    Divide dough in half and roll each portion into a rectangle 1/2-inch thick.
    Spread with softened butter.
    Roll each rectangle jelly roll style and cut into 1-inch slices.
    Place cut side down in greased muffin tins.
    Cover and let rise 2 hours. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Makes 2 dozen large rolls.
