Gay'S Pineapple Banana Slush Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    4 c. water
    2 large cans crushed pineapple
    3 to 4 bananas
    1 can orange juice
    1 (3-liter) bottle ginger ale
Preparation
    Dissolve sugar in water to make a light syrup.
    Mix syrup with next three ingredients and pour into small containers to freeze solid.
    Approximately 1 hour before serving, remove containers from freezer and place in punch bowl.
    Pour ginger ale over frozen ingredients.
    As mixture thaws, rake a fork over ice mixture to make slushy.
