Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. deveined shrimp
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. chopped green onions and tops
    1/2 c. chopped parsley
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. crushed whole thyme
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    2 c. cooked rice
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 c. hot water
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
    2 whole bay leaves
    dash of cayenne pepper
    1 lemon slice
Preparation
    Melt shortening. Blend in flour and brown, stirring constantly. Add water gradually and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients, except rice. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Remove bay leaves. Serve over rice. Serves 6.
