Oven-Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 lb. chicken parts
Preparation

Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
In oven, melt shortening in baking pan (13 x 9 x 2-inch).
Measure flour, salt, paprika and pepper into paper or plastic bag.
Shake 2 or 3 chicken pieces at a time in bag until thoroughly coated.
Place skin side down in shortening. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes.
Turn chicken and bake until tender, 20 to 30 minutes longer.
