Chocolate Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a Bundt pan or tube pan. In large bowl, cream together the butter, shortening, and sugar.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa. Stir to mix.
Add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk. Add vanilla and mix well. Stir in walnuts. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for about 1 hour 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into center of cake. After the cake has cooled slightly in the pan, turn it out onto a cake plate.
