24-Hour Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head or 1/2 large head lettuce
    1 pkg. frozen green peas
    1 chopped green pepper
    8 celery stalks, chopped
    1 red onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    6 slices crumbled fried bacon
Preparation
    Make 24 hours before serving.
    Use large casserole or large glass pan.
    Shred or tear lettuce into dish, approximately 1/3 full.
    Layer on top of the following (do not stir): green peas, green pepper, celery, red onion.
    Frost entire top with the following mixture:
    mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
    Right before serving, sprinkle with bacon.
