Georgetown Red Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. bacon
1/2 c. chopped onions
2 c. rice
2 1/2 c. red tomatoes
1 c. broth (duck, chicken or turkey)
1/4 c. catsup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. Tabasco sauce (optional)
Preparation

Cook bacon, remove from pan and crumble.
Cook onions in bacon fat until tender, then add red tomatoes, rice, broth, catsup, seasonings and crumbled bacon.
Cook on low heat until rice is done.
Stir several times during cooking.
