Divinity Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. sugar
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1 c. water
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg whites
    3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine water and sugar.
    Boil to 265\u00b0 (hard ball stage).
    Beat egg whites stiff and gradually beat into boiling syrup.
    Whip until it begins to stiffen.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Drop on wax paper. Makes about 150 pieces.
