Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 7 c. cooking apples, pared and sliced
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Make pastry for 2-crust pie; line pie plate with pastry.
    Fill with sliced apples. Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon; sprinkle over apples.
    Dot with shortening.
    Top with pastry.
    Seal edges and flute.
    Cover edge with aluminum foil, if desired.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
