Green Wonder Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium onions, sliced thinly
    1 1/2 c. sliced celery
    3/4 c. cider vinegar
    2 small jars mushrooms
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. pepper
    1 (No. 2) can Chinese vegetables
    1 (No. 2) can LeSueur English peas
    1 (No. 2) can French-style green beans
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
Preparation
    Do not drain liquid from vegetables.
    Mix all and marinate overnight. Lasts weeks. Serves 12 to 16.
