Cranberry Muffins - cooking recipe

1 1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter or margarine
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 c. fresh or frozen cranberries, coarsely chopped
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0. Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
In a bowl, sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Add with milk to the sugar and butter mixture.
Stir by hand just to moisten ingredients. Stir in cranberries.
Spoon into 18 (2 1/2-inch) muffin cups, filling 3/4 full.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Makes 18 muffins.
