Ranger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    2 c. Rice Krispies
    1 c. shredded coconut
Preparation
    Cream the shortening and sugars together.
    Add the eggs and vanilla; mix until smooth.
    Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt together; add to creamed mixture.
    Mix well, then add the oatmeal, rice cereal and coconut and mix well.
    Dough will be quite crumbly.
    Mold with hands into balls the size of a walnut. Place on a cookie sheet and press slightly.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Yields 6 dozen.
