Meat Crust Country Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground meat
    1/4 c. grated onion
    2 tsp. salt
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 1/3 c. Minute rice
    1/2 c. crushed crackers
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1 c. water
    3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    4 to 6 tomato slices (optional)
    seasoning to taste
    1/8 tsp. oregano and ground pepper
Preparation
    Combine beef, crackers, onion, green pepper, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, seasoning to taste and 1/2 cup of tomato sauce.
    Mix well. Pat into bottom and up sides of a greased 9-inch pie plate.
