Sauerkraut Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. mild Italian sausage, cut into 1 inch links
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 apples, peeled and quartered
    1 can sauerkraut, undrained (I use Del Monte)
    1 cup water
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    2 tsp. caraway seeds
Preparation
    In a skillet, cook sausage and onion until sausage is brown and onion is tender, drain.
    Stir in apples, sauerkraut, water, brown sugar and caraway seeds.
    Transfer to a 2 1/2 qt. baking dish.
    Cover and bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
    Garnish with parsley, if desired.
    Make 6 to 8 servings.
