Poteau French Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small onion
    1 clove garlic
    0.5 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. water
    6 Tbsp. oil
    1 tsp. lemon or vinegar
    dash of Tabasco sauce
Preparation
    This should be made just before serving.
    Rub the bottom of a small bowl with onion or garlic.
    Put in 1/2 teaspoon of salt, a dash of Tabasco sauce and a tablespoon of cold water (to dissolve salt).
    Stir until salt is completely dissolved.
    Now gradually add, stirring constantly, 6 tablespoons of oil and 1 teaspoon of vinegar or lemon juice.
    Beat quickly until well mixed.
