Turtle Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    3/4 c. evaporated milk
    1 (18.5 oz.) box German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Empty caramels in saucepan with 1/3 cup of milk.
    Melt, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Combine cake mix, 1/3 cup milk, melted butter and nuts.
    Press two-thirds of cake mixture in greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked mixture. Spread caramel mixture over top of chips.
    Add remaining cake mix by spoonfuls on top of caramels.
    Bake an additional 20 to 25 minutes. Cut while warm.
    Makes 12 to 16 servings.
