Orange-Raisin Fruitcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 orange (extract juice and reserve)
1 1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. nuts (I use peanuts)
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Extract orange juice, then put orange pulp, rind, nuts and raisins through food chopper.
Keep 1/4 cup of nut mixture for topping.
Mix remainder with orange juice, sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
Add eggs. Mix.
Add flour, soda, salt and buttermilk.
Mix well and pour into a tube pan.
Bake 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
