Vanilla Ice Cream (1923)(Over 50 Years Old) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. fresh milk
    1 1/2 c. rich cream
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/4 c. sugar (extra)
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg
Preparation
    Scald the fresh milk in a double boiler.
    Mix the 1/2 cup sugar, flour and salt.
    Sift.
    Moisten with the 3 tablespoons cold milk.
    Add 1 cup of the scalded milk and mix, then add to remaining hot milk.
    Cook 30 minutes.
