Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks real butter
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tsp. whole oregano
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. dry rice, uncooked, wash and drain
    3 (10 oz.) cans beef consomme
    2 cans water
    1 or 2 small cans mushrooms, drained
Preparation
    Melt butter and add chopped onion, oregano, salt and rice. Stir all the ingredients listed and simmer 10 minutes (can use iron skillet or Teflon).
    Turn into large casserole and add beef consomme and water.
    Add drained mushrooms; bake, covered at 400\u00b0 for 1 hour.
