Prune Spice Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 large eggs
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. cooked prunes, mashed
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. liquid (1/2 milk and 1/2 prune juice)
Preparation

Cream the shortening and sugar.
Add eggs.
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and spice, then blend into creamed mixture alternately with liquids.
Pour prunes into two 8-inch pans that have been greased and floured.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 350\u00b0. Cool completely; frost if desired.
