Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
Preparation
    Blend dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening until coarse like peas.
    Make a well in the center.
    Pour in 1/2 cup of milk; toss or mix.
    Add egg with rest of milk.
    Mix lightly with a fork. Roll or pat to 1/2 or 3/4-inch.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
