Old Fashioned Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    3 c. scalded milk
    3 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 c. cubed day-old bread
    1/2 c. raisins
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Combine sugar, cinnamon, allspice and ginger.
    Add scalded milk slowly to eggs; mix well.
    Add sugar-spice mixture and butter or margarine; stir until sugar dissolves.
    Combine bread cubes and raisins in buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Pour custard mixture over bread cubes. Place casserole in pan of water.
    Bake 1 hour or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean.
