El Paso Burgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
    1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
    2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. salsa
    8 slices sharp cheese
Preparation
    Place meat in a large bowl.
    Add onion, green pepper and taco mix.
    Combine thoroughly.
    Shape into 8 burgers.
    Place onto a well-greased oven broiling pan.
    Spread salsa on top.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 until done.
    Place 1 slice of cheese on each burger and return to oven just long enough for it to melt.
    Serve on bun.
