Spooned Halva - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. butter
1 c. farina
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Melt butter in deep pan; add farina and cook until golden color, stirring constantly.
Stir in chopped nuts.
Reduce heat. Meanwhile, bring water and sugar to a slow boil.
Cook 3 minutes. Pour syrup slowly over farina, stirring with wooden spoon until halva is slightly thickened.
Remove from heat.
Cover; let stand 10 minutes.
Shape with individual molds or with spoon.
Place on large platters and sprinkle with cinnamon.
