Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. blackberry jam
1 3/4 c. plain flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Combine sugar, oil, buttermilk, eggs, blackberry jam and vanilla in large bowl.
Beat well on low speed.
Add combined ingredients and beat on medium speed to blend well.
Bake at 350\u00b0 in 2 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans for 40 minutes or until tests done.
Cool completely and frost with Buttermilk Icing.
