Mrs. Lynch'S Old Country Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. milk
    4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. raisins, soaked in boiling water for 1/2 minute, then drained
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    Mix and sift dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening with 2 knives.
    Add beaten eggs.
    Stir in raisins and seed.
    Add milk; stir.
    Spread into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan (or use cooking oil spray).
    Bake for 45 to 50 minutes at 375\u00b0.
    Can also use 3 small 6-inch round pans and bake for 35 minutes.
