Cherry Pie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 can pie cherries
Preparation
    Mix margarine, sugar, vanilla and eggs.
    Add flour, baking powder and salt.
    Makes soft dough (sticky).
    Spread 3/4 (plus) of dough on greased sheet cake pan, will seem thin (don't have bare spots).
    Spread on pie cherries (get red everywhere).
    Take a little at a time part of the 1/4 dough left; add flour and pat out real thin between hands.
    Place patchy over cherries.
    Looks real messy, cherries and red can show.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes (when it starts to brown and is firm, just barely brown).
