Fruit Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 lb. butter
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    1 qt. canned fruit
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter and pour into a 9 x 12 x 2-inch baking dish. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and milk.
    Pour into pan. Drain fruit and combine with water and sugar.
    Carefully pour into pan.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for about 1 hour.
    When done, batter will have risen to the top and should be a beautiful brown.
