Butter Crunch Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. white syrup
3 Tbsp. water
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Melt butter in heavy 2-quart saucepan.
Add sugar.
Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
Add water and syrup.
Cook over medium heat, stirring often to soft ball stage (290\u00b0), about 12 minutes.
Watch carefully after reaching 280\u00b0.
Remove from heat.
Quickly stir in nuts and spread on a buttered baking sheet. Cool thoroughly.
Melt chocolate chips.
Spread 1/2 on one side of toffee and sprinkle with nuts.
Cool.
Turn candy over and spread remaining melted chocolate on other side.
Cool.
Break into pieces.
