Southern Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage
    1 c. quick grits
    4 c. boiling water
    2 to 3 Tbsp. butter
    5 eggs
    2 Tbsp. milk
    3/4 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Brown sausage; sprinkle in bottom of 2 1/2-quart casserole. Cook grits in boiling water per package instructions until thickened and creamy.
    Add butter to grits and pour over meat.
