Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 lb. round steak, 1 1/2-inches thick
    4 tsp. oil
    1 peeled medium onion, sliced in rings
    1 (12 oz.) can vegetable juice cocktail
Preparation
    Dredge meat in flour, salt and pepper. Saute meat in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
    Add onions and juice.
    Cover and simmer about 2 hours or until tender or bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for about 2 hours.
    Thicken gravy as desired.
