Molasses Crinkles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. soft shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1/4 c. sorghum molasses
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
granulated sugar
Preparation

Mix shortening, sugar, egg and molasses thoroughly.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Blend all dry ingredients; stir in.
Chill.
Roll dough in 1 1/4-inch balls.
Dip tips in sugar.
Place balls, sugared side up, 3-inches apart on greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle each with 2 to 3 drops water.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes until set but not hard.
Bake at 375\u00b0.
Yield: 4 dozen cookies.
