Spinach Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 pkg. dry vegetable or onion soup mix
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen spinach, thawed and drained
    8 oz. sour cream
    8 oz. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Blend onion, spinach and soup mix together, then add sour cream and mayonnaise.
    Mix dip thoroughly and refrigerate at least 3 hours.
    This dip is delicious and nutritious with vegetables, bread or crackers.
    One can water chestnuts, chopped, may be substituted for the onion.
